Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Dedicates State-of-the-Art Bhagwan Valmiki Panorama at Ram Tirath

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann inaugurated the state-of-the-art Bhagwan Valmiki Panorama on Thursday, located at the historic Bhagwan Sri Valmiki Tirath Sthal, commonly known as Ram Tirath. The panoramic project, a significant cultural and architectural achievement, aims to honor the legacy of Bhagwan Valmiki, the revered saint and author of the epic Ramayana.

During the inauguration ceremony, Chief Minister Mann emphasized the blend of cutting-edge technology with rich narration that the panorama offers, providing visitors with an immersive and divine experience. He described the project as a “humble tribute to Bhagwan Valmiki,” highlighting the state government’s commitment to preserving and promoting Punjab’s cultural heritage.

A Grand Architectural and Technological Marvel

The Bhagwan Valmiki Panorama spans over nine acres and was constructed at a total cost of ?32.78 crore. According to CM Mann, the panorama is a perfect mix of grandeur, aesthetics, and modern architecture, reflecting not only the teachings of Bhagwan Valmiki but also showcasing the magnificence of the Ramayana.

“This panorama is an engineering marvel enriched with rare architecture and has been designed aesthetically to create a serene and educational environment,” said Mann. “It is a symbolic tribute to the life and contributions of Bhagwan Valmiki, highlighting both his spiritual and literary legacy.”

Features of the Panorama

The panorama complex houses 14 meticulously curated galleries, each dedicated to a specific phase of Bhagwan Valmiki’s life and teachings, as well as key episodes from the Ramayana. The galleries use a variety of interactive exhibits, 3D installations, and audio-visual narrations to bring these stories to life. From his transformation from a highwayman into a sage to his authorship of the Ramayana, each gallery portrays critical moments with artistic finesse.

“The goal is to provide not just a visual experience but also an immersive educational journey that helps visitors connect with Bhagwan Valmiki's profound message of righteousness and compassion,” Mann remarked.

In addition to highlighting Valmiki’s personal journey, the panorama also showcases major events from the Ramayana, including scenes depicting the exile of Lord Rama, the abduction of Sita, and the final triumph of good over evil. The multi-sensory experience created through the integration of advanced technology makes the panorama a unique cultural attraction.

Ram Tirath, believed to be the birthplace of Lav and Kush, the sons of Lord Rama, has long been a revered destination for devotees and scholars of the Ramayana.
